Today we learnt about how to present a school magazine, we spoke about having a theme, colour schemes and what our main front cover photo should look like. We then walked around the school looking at the different places that the photo could be taken at.

We first went to the sixth form block as it represents the school and is clean and tidy so would good a give impression. i liked this because it was quite bright, the building doesn't look dull so it would giv eht ephoto lots of colour and brightness. The only bad thing about this site was that there are bins in places that photos would be taken so before taking the photo you would have to move the bin. Next we went to the front of the school and thought about what we would need to think about while taking the photo, for example you would need to think about what time of the day it is so that people wern't walking around and would get in the way and also the sun should be on the place you want to take the photo to make the school look it's best. We then moved onto the schools main corridoor, we looked at what was in the corridoor and discussed why it would be suitable, we noticed that it had arches, lockers and it looked like a traditional school corridoor, this would make sure that the audience could clearly see that it is a school magazine. The last site was in the quad, i liked this because it has lots of greenery which makes the school look well presented and it would show that the school takes pride in it's appearance.

After seeing the sites i have decided i will try taking photos in different sites to experiment and then decide which site looks the best for the purpose of the photo. I will need to think about what time of day i will take my photos as i need to ensure that students wont be there so could be at home or in class, and also the sun in on that part of the building.
